Elisa... I will be thinking and praying for you as the Lord brings you to mind. Enjoy the journey God is taking you on. Build bridges. Love people. Laugh a lot. Cry when you need to. Have fun!

Elisa, i want to echo what Carla wrote... love people, laugh a lot and cry when you need to. We'll be praying for you, Rod, Anya, Emilia, and Ava as you embrace this new adventure. I pray that the places you will go will bring the Kingdom closer to those here on earth. I Love You my friend.
I think of Anya, every time i see or hear a train... a good reminder to pray.

A little (and corny) analogy for you...

NASA calls it the final countdown 10-9-8-7.... Ten days to go. International vaccines - check. House rented - check. Cross Canada adventure - check. Pensiveness, uncontainable excitement, and a second to none experience. - Double Check!

Elisa and Rod, you have chosen a mission with only the waypoints on a flight plan. It is up to you to fill in the detail.

Enjoy the next stage of God's plan and relish in the experience with your family. Stay safe and stay healthy (ESPECIALLY YOU ROD!! No Yak Sushi OK!?)

The kids say HI to the girls.

Rod, little man and I will miss you this season :(

Wow! Very exciting! My husband, Terence, were in Nepal during our honeymoon 8 years ago! We are anxious to bring the boys there...but we have an adoption from Russia pending! One day! Very excited to hear more about your adventure! Why Nepal, and what are your plans...or are there any! :-) Wish we were there!

(it's been awhile...but I'm sure you remember me!)

Rod and Elisa, as you will be closer than anyone I know - Please pray for the family and friends of my co-worker Guy who passed into God's arms this weekend. He was on a mountain climbing expedition on Cho Oyu, the sixth highest mountain in the world located on the border of Tibet and Nepal. He fell and slid away from the person who was descending with him. He did not survive the injuries he sustained. Guy's family has decided not to have Guy's body brought down from the mountain. Guy will be laid to rest near Camp 2 (7340 m) in the upcoming days.

If this link still works - this is the article. Guy was climbing to raise money to send Nepalese orphans to college.
