loving it....

we have had a great time with the johns and rademakers....it is nice to talk with out the language barrier and to have people actually get and laugh at my jokes.
rod and i have had a live-in helper...thanks to barb who has made meals, babysat, been the art teacher and a snack supplier....kudos to dave who has widened our horizon to dried fruit snacks from around the world. we will miss them when they leave.
i feel so full of things to share and i just don't know where to start...i love it here...i cannot imagine leaving and when i do think about it i cry. this place has gotten into my blood. when i asked the rest of my family if they wanted to stay longer the response was not as favorable. the girls do miss the conveniences of home, mcdonalds, friends, bikes, toys.
ah, who knows where this might go but for now i will soak in every moment here...and hope that we will come back.

Yes, those are exactly the sentiments we had during our time there. We weren't ready to leave and, when the day arrived, it almost broke our hearts. We tried to ignore the day of departure as long as we could but the inevitable happened. Now we dream of going back - for longer. May God enable you to live each day there to the fullest, and be a blessing to all those around you. But for us, it seemed He did more work in us than we did for others. Time will tell.

oh how I wish I could be there experiencing what you are. The tug to stay must be so strong...but we do really want you to come back. But, my friends, enjoy each day in Nepal like it is your last...love, learn, nurture, and comfort those you come in contact with....praying for you and I will begin to pray for your return into our crazy world....
love,love!

Hi out there!
I found Nepal on my Wii's Weather Globe and had fun spinning the globe around. It makes swishing noises. swish Canada swish Nepal swish Canada swish Nepal swish whoops swish Indonesia? Haha. You see, I'm barely awake and easily amused.
Glad you're loving it out there! Funny use of the McDonald's slogan ha.

Love your blogging. Seeing your pictures brings back so many memories of Kathmandu. This last comment about not being sure you can leave warms my heart. We were feeling the same as the time drew near for our departure. We're praying for you all. May you see Jesus and secretly serve Him on all your journey's outside the compound. Much love from the Lewis clan.
